Personal Life and Experience
Shawn grew up on a farm in Central Alberta. After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2004, he moved to Calgary and split his time as an engineer with the EUB working in energy regulations, and a major oil and gas producer working as a reservoir engineer. Shawn received his MBA and law degrees from the University of Calgary in 2011. He then articled with a national law firm and spent time working as a patent lawyer for a sole practitioner.
Shawn takes pride in being a lawyer who has actual business experience and can associate that experience with the law to come up with the best business solutions for his clients.
Shawn has represented clients at every level of court in Alberta, including the Provincial Court, Court of Queens’ Bench, and the Court of Appeal.
Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, being a recreational league hockey player, singing, playing piano, guitar, ukulele and being physically active.

Personal Life and Experience
Ava was born in St. Albert Alberta and raised in a mining community in Northern Ontario. She came to Calgary for University and decided to stay. During law school she completed her Masters of Public Policy specializing in the legislative changes to the Divorce Act. She has been presented with numerous prestigious designations including the Grant Mckibben Prize, which is awarded to the Law Student who best epitomizes the energy and spirit of the law school, the Francis Elizabeth Turner Memorial Prize, Top Negotiator in a Canada Wide Family Law Competition and more.
Prior to working at Kraft & Co. Law she worked for a prominent Calgary law firm specializing in Family Law, Personal Injury, and Estates. She has appeared numerous times in Provincial Court and the Court of King’s Bench and has participated in many mediation and arbitration processes. Ava is passionate about helping people through difficult times. In her spare time, she can be found doing yoga, hanging out with her Chihuahuas, and hiking in the Rocky Mountains.
